18th Annual Mark Linder Walk for the Mind

The 1st Annual Walk for the Mind was held in 2003. Mark Linder felt alone when he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. His mission was to create brain tumor awareness in the community and to raise funds for brain tumor research. Eighteen years later, the Mark Linder Walk for the Mind is continuing to bring awareness of brain tumors. After the Walk in 2019, Mark Linder Walk for the Mind presented a check for $80,000 to the University Of IL College Of Medicine at Peoria. For the 9th year, all proceeds will go to the University Of IL College Of Medicine at Peoria Brain Tumor Research Program. We are thankful Dr. Andrew Tsung and Dr. Kiran Velpula, as well as the others from their research team, do their research here in Peoria, IL.
