Peoria Proud encourages and supports diversity and equality throughout the Peoria Metropolitan Area. The coalition seeks to unify the community as a whole, through advocacy, education and social outreach.
The River City Pride Festival, one of our key programs, is a locally centered day of engaging programming and events to support awareness of LGBTQA issues and to celebrate our community's diversity. Festivities will occur beginning on Thursday, August 1st 2019 with a Pride Night at the baseball stadium, and continuing through an all-day festival on August 3rd, 2019; concluding with a drag show featuring local and out-of-town talent.
