Event Description:
ShaZam Racing has announced a new running event, the Whiskeydaddle Races. This new event will feature a Boston-qualifying marathon (The Barrel), half marathon (The Bottle), marathon relay (The Bootlegger), 5K (The Shot), and kids’ run (The Skidoo). The race weekend will be Saturday, October 7th through Sunday, October 8th in Peoria, IL. The 5K and Kids’ run will take place on Saturday and the marathon, half marathon, and marathon relay will take place on Sunday. This event will replace the PNC Bank Peoria Marathon and River City races that has typically been held in October. Location:
The marathon course will be a loop throughout the city – beginning downtown, proceeding up Main Street, through the Bradley University area, West Peoria, and the Uplands, then heading north toward St. Philomena and the Glen Oak Zoo before heading back downtown to finish on the Peoria Riverfront.
